When we finished recording Introducing Angela last year we had 2 songs that we didn’t include because they didn’t fit with the overall sound and feel of the album. So I thought let’s do an EP in the new year with one new song. So I got writing.
At the same time I looked back at some songs that kick started my songwriting journey and thought that they would be fun to do as they were strong but unreleased. The Urban State was not around in 2002/3 so the sound and feel of them was quite different.
Then I thought why not take 5 of those old racks and mix them with 5 new and our forthcoming album was born!
